Last Thursday I attended the Miami Style Awards at The W Hotel South Beach. As soon as I arrived I checked in and went backstage to meet and do a quick interview with designer Viviana G of Petit Pois before the show started. Thank you to Vanessa of Majestic Relations for the opportunity. Look for my feature on Petit Pois in a few days. The event was emceed by the hilarious Elaine Lancaster- a.k.a. South Beach’s Queen of the Night. Who you can look forward to watching in Bravo’s upcoming Real Housewives of Miami along with many of the other women featured tonight.

My 3 favorite designers/brands of the night were Julian Chang, Luca Luca and Petit Pois. All the modeling was informal and the girls looks smashing in their pieces. The event was held poolside so when the wind would blow just right it was like magic.
Pictures really don’t do the third dress any justice. Absolutely gorgeous in person.
I’m kind of bummed because I was asked if I’d like to interview Julian and I kind of got nervous (I’m terrible in social situations because I’m so shy) because I didn’t have questions specifically prepared for him nor had I seen a lot of his work yet aside from backstage. After seeing the pieces I immediately regretted the hesitation/me running off to the other side of the pool the moment I could. Oh well there’s always Miami Fashion Week where I’ll definitely be more prepared.
Stunners. I believe these two girls were my “best dressed” of the night.
Below you can see a bit of shoe stalking, the models/designs, and stylish party goers. Enjoy. I took over 200 photos that night it was really hard to pick what to put up so I took a few days and really got choosy. I really couldn’t use them all. I also tried my best with lightroom/photoshop to compensate for my lack of camera skills.
