Last Wednesday, I attended an exclusive book signing at the Sagamore hotel for author Jill Kargman‘s latest book release “Sometimes I Feel Like A Nut“. The event was hosted by Jennifer Sazant, Hollen Rosenberg (as in Hollen & Jen’s Vintage Showroom), Jillian Jacobson, Daisy Olivera, Kristin Pierce, and Elizabeth Dascal. The party was held in the penthouse and was a really chic affair. Lots of well dressed attendees, and Jill looked stunning in a mid-length white Chanel lace trimmed dress.
I carpooled with my friend Erika and we were given mini “Groucho Marx” disguises as homage to Kargman’s book cover. We goofed around in our masks of course and tweeted photos in them. In addition to our disguises we received Urban Decay makeup (MY FAVORITE!), specifically their new cheek stain and their new 24-7 shadow sticks. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. I very much enjoyed meeting new people, hanging out with old favorites and sipping Moet champagne on South Beach in a beautiful hotel.
I’ve already started reading Sometimes I Feel Like A Nut. It’s absolutely hilarious. It’s a collection of humorous yet relatable essays and observations that fully attest to Woody Allen’s magical math equation: Comedy = Tragedy + Time. I can’t wait to finish the book, I love reading a book and finding myself nodding along with the writer.
