Admittedly, I opted out of the main F1 event because I didn’t want to trek to the stadium in Miami Gardens and be hot. Trust I heard all about the heat and the walking complaints and readjusted my plans. I’ll stick to the parties and things in Miami and on the Beach. I still got a taste of racing anyway with Tag Heuer in the Miami Design District. Tag Heuer built out a full-fledged go-kart track in Jungle Plaza. Smack in the middle of the Miami Design District. So cool!

I got to go to the media preview before it opened to the public. Unfortunately for me, in an Instagram vs reality moment…my wig was too big for the helmet. Despite a lot of impossible to guarantee reassurances, I wasn’t going to risk trying to make it fit. Visions of my wig being stuck in the helmet and me standing there in only a wig cap immediately entered my mind. I wasn’t allowed to actually race without wearing a helmet. Safety first, always. I brought along my friend Cassidy who had braids in so she got to race. She killed it and beat the previous best times and got on the leaderboard. This ended up being a huge attraction throughout the F1 weekend. DJ Khaled even stopped by with his family.
Aside from my hair not fitting the mark, I thought my race outfit was pretty good. I kept it casual of course, with a denim look. Funny how denim is my go-to now when I used to kind of avoid it. I’m obsessed with this faux leather blazer from Avec Les Filles. I find ways to wear it often here in Miami. I scored it from my SAKS Off Fifth collaboration. Someone actually tried to steal it from me last week! Crazy.

Love the denim you are wearing on the photos. Must be a very fun experience right?
