This post is a long time coming…I attended Miami Beach International Fashion Week for the first time this year. I was a little underwhelmed to be honest, and I probably won’t go again next year. I enjoyed the designers shows I came to support like Petit Pois & Julian Chang. I also found some new favorites like Nicolas Felizola, Samy Gitcherman, Zula Studio and a few more. I ended up skipping Friday which was pre-planned as I had a dinner to attend though I did send my intern who is pictured above. I didn’t attend on Saturday either, I went out dancing instead. kanye shrug
I started off writing about what I didn’t like about MBIFW but I felt like it took away from the post and in the spirit of avoiding negativity and being long winded; I’ll leave you with these lovely photos above taken by James Eagles and the fact that I met some cool people though through Vanessa of Majestic Relations, like socialites Karen Koeningsberg and Heidi Gardner (not pictured here) who I ended up photographing for a Miami Fashion Blog piece.

its cool that cities are trying to get more into fashion.. but its sad when it falls flat. dancing sounds better than boring shows…nice call sending the assistant!
