[…] Some new jewelry arrivals over at Filthy Magic that I’m really feeling. So expect to see me in this stuff soon. I have a vintage necklace like the clock locket, Matt’s mom picked up for me. I’m going to cop this new one in silver. It’s a little different from my vintage piece but still VERY similar (wearing minehere and here). […]
Eduardo De Las Casas held a fashion show at the Doral Country Club during their 2011 Golf Fest. This was my first time in Doral and also my first time seeing Eduardo’s pieces outside of my living room. I watched and cheered for Eduardo on Bravo’s The Fashion Show this year. I not only loved his designs but I loved his attitude and the way he spoke and carried himself. It was great finding out he is local to South Florida. I’m hoping I’ll be able to style with his pieces in the future.
At the show I ran into Charles & Beth Albert of Charles Albert Jewelry. It was great having company while I waited for the show to start. I went backstage briefly and saw one of my favorite local models, I see this girl walking in all the cool shows and she was at Miami Beach International Fashion Week (still need to get around to blogging about that) as well. Sorry I don’t have a full length shot of my outfit (probably tweeted one though). I think I was wearing the Jessica Simpson Dany’s.

I’ve put all the best shots from the evening into this gallery below. I apologize for the quality of my pictures, I rushed last minute to my seat. It was packed on my side and I didn’t have much time to fiddle with my camera settings to get perfect light. The lighting outside of the photographer area was pretty awful, guess I should have switched that sucka to automatic. Anyway, Eduardo excels with very feminine dresses. Long or short it doesn’t matter, there were lots of feathers as you can see and some exaggerated silhouettes. I loved his choice of unique materials like the pants in the first look of the gallery. That photo was taken by photographer James Eagle. He is amazing with his lighting! Please check out his shots from the show.
