Hey I’m wearing color! I shot these photos with Scott Brasher before my all white everything phase. I picked up this skirt from Net-A-Porter, I actually thought it sold out. I didn’t let that stop me though, I emailed my personal shopper anyway and it became mine. Magic! The peek-a-boo satin lining rides up in the sexiest way possible.
The skirt is from House of Holland‘s SS14 Homegirls’ collection. I’m extremely drawn to the floral and religious motifs from this collection. Very Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, which I later found out is the inspiration behind the collection. Too freckin dope. That’s one of my favorite movies and Baz is my favorite director.
I’d like a couple more pieces from the collection if I can manage it. It’s always a pleasure when you can connect with a collection in more than a ooh this is cute kind of way. I feel transported in a sense when I look at this collection and I’m so thrilled to own a piece of it. I posted the skirt on my instagram (@riamichelle) when it first arrived and Henry Holland himself liked my photo, I may or may not have squeed.
