Kipling put your girl on for the weekend with a full weekend experience at The Edition. You all know how much I love The Edition hotel in Miami Beach. I put off my pending move for a second weekend in a row because there’s fun to be had! I couldn’t miss out. The reason for the excursion; celebrating David Bromstad’s collaboration with Kipling for a special fall 2015 capsule collection.
I started by checking into the hotel and getting ready for dinner. I had such a busy day, I didn’t bother with any other social media documentation but Snapchat. You should be following duh! I ended up doing it up that night. The next morning, I woke up to a Kipling x David Bromstad special delivery. Switched my stuff into my new Kipling gear and headed to breakfast. Needed fuel for paddleboarding after all.
It took me awhile to work up the nerve to stand up on the paddleboard. I wish I’d done it earlier when I wasn’t as tired from rowing. But I did it! I’m super proud of myself because I psyched myself into thinking it would be much worse than it turned out to be. I would do it again.
After paddleboarding, it was a poolside pit stop for a bit of a refresher. Coconut water cures everything. I’m so sure of it. I should have taken a coconut to go for our Wynwood Art Walk. It’s interesting to see Wynwood with people who have never been. It’s also always changing so I got to see some things that were so not there only a month ago.
After our tour, it was poolside cabana chill time. Got a little too relaxed haha and almost lost track of time to get ready for dinner. As a result only half of my hair got curled. So I did a ponytail. 😂 This was such a great experience. I’m so glad I caught the email. I loved David, he is so funny and has great energy. He’s so well traveled and vibrant something that heavily influenced his Kipling collection. I met so many great editors (Kelly Shami is an inspiration and #wcw) and pr folks.
Thanks to the team at Kipling for having me! Let’s do it again soon!
