Fab.com invited me to “upgrade your everyday”. I knew I wanted home decor but I also wanted something cool and functional. I listen to music every single day. There’s something lost in streaming services, don’t get me wrong I love them. Having access to almost every song ever is a pretty cool thing. What’s lost is the tangible feeling of new music, the specialness of buying a new album. Playing through that record with intent over and over. It’s not the same as swiping through album after album. I never realized how much I missed liner notes!
Fab.com is a curated shop featuring unique and eclectic products you’d actually use. Stylishly functional, fun, and modern. I was so excited when Fab reached out to me. Searching through all the goodies, it was hard to decide what to pick. There’s so much on my list home decor wise I could fulfill here. I’m so glad I went with the Crosley record player though. I have a few records already from when my ex and I bought one, but I left the player with him. Now I have this maybe a little OCD routine. During the week, when I get home from events or whatever…I come home turn it on and start household chores. The little analog sound wafting through my apartment makes the dishes not so bad. I clean, clean, clean until the record is through and then I’m done for the night.
My grandpa had tons of records. Every time I concentrate and drop that needle onto the record I’m thinking of him. Takes me back to being a kid and being the only one allowed to touch his records even though I’d break them. With my new vintage style Crosley Bermuda Table, I motivated to my closest record store for new vinyl. I can’t describe how it felt walking into a record store, not having a single idea what we wanted to buy. Only 30 minutes later having so much excitement that we had to put stuff back because we were doing too much. That’s exactly how shopping at Fab.com feels.
