This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.
When I first moved to Florida and started high school here all the girls used Carmex. That was my introduction to this classic drugstore brand. I don’t know if that’s still the case but in my day, that was the thing to use on chapped lips. We all trust Carmex to keep our lips moisturized, so how about our bodies. Carmex has been around for over 70 years and people have come to love the healing power of Carmex lip balms. Finally, Carmex Skin Care is here with a new solution to heal, soothe and moisturize your dry skin. Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream both retail for about $5.99 and can only be found at Walgreens stores, walgreens.com and drugstore.com.
Carmex sent me both the healing lotion and the healing cream to review. I have really dry skin and it’s tough for me to find lotion that actually works and continuously keeps me moisturized (i.e. non ashy) but this does the trick. I’m not crazy about the smell though the bottle claims “pleasant scent”. The scent isn’t unpleasant but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it pleasant. They both absorb quickly into the skin and you don’t have to use a lot. I used a little daily (for about a week) on my boyfriend’s rough elbows and his elbows are now very well moisturized and smooth. I haven’t “carmex’d” him in a few days and they’re still super smooth. I used the products on him too because he’s so picky about things and he liked them too. He didn’t have a problem with the smell either. This from the guy who once told me one of my lotions smelled like a granny.
Anyway the bottles are classic Carmex design so you really can’t miss them. If you’re a regular carmex user the yellow and red will catch your eye and if you’re new to the brand the yellow and red will ensure you won’t miss it on the shelf. Now I ask myself, will I actually purchase any of these on my own once I’ve run out of my samples. I definitely will. Since I’ve never really done a sponsored review before I want to say that I was under no obligation to write a positive review.
I love my readers and commenters so I’d like to share the moisturizing power of Carmex with one of you. During my trial I was sent a full size bottle of the healing cream and the healing lotion and a trial size of the healing lotion. I used the travel/trial size healing lotion so I’d have a full size bottle to giveaway to you all.

“I used a little daily (for about a week) on my boyfriend’s rough elbows and his elbows are now very well moisturized and smooth.”
Ooh that’s saying a lot! That tends to be a problem areas for a lot of people, especially during the winter time. Another remedy is to slather Vaseline on those areas, but I’m not a fan of Vaseline’s texture anywhere, but on my lips.
No, I’ve never used Carmex before, but it seems this year, CVS and target have unintentionally become my favorite stores so I’ll probably try it out when I run out of my Vaseline intensive care cocoa butter moisturizer (bf likes the scent better than anything flowery or girly I get from bath&body/Victoria’s Secret).
