One of these photos is better than the other, of course the better one is the blurry/not focused one. So it’s not going to look good when you click and enlarge it but it looks fine small. Soft photos are a such a peeve of mine but you know when you’re not taking the photos you really have no control of that and it does happen from time to time. Anyway, I was recently invited to The Body Shop at Aventura mall to come check out their new makeup collection Brush with Fashion. The line was created in collaboration with the London College of Fashion.
Celebrity beauty expert Shalini Vadhera did my makeup and I loved it, since I had an event to go to later on in the evening. She gave me some great makeup tips while doing my look. This is the first time in awhile that I haven’t had a bright color on my lids. I always want to do a smoky eye but usually get caught up in color. Palette #2 (à la mode), was used on me to create my subtle smoky look.
The store staff was really accommodating and knowledge on The Body Shop Manifesto, their values and all of their products. I got the full tour and information on basically anything I wanted more information about. It’s been awhile since I’ve shopped at The Body Shop but after my experience that day I’ll definitely be back. I was given the palette that was used on me, the illuminating face base (sold out), and also the hi-shine lip treatment from the makeup collection. My favorite product though had to be the cheek tint, which adjusts to your body’s ph balance to be the perfect shade on your skin, similar to the Josie Maran foundation I’ve been using. I’ll have to pop in and snag this before the collection is gone gone gone.
I was also given these awesome shower gels for earth lovers. I have watermelon & eucalyptus (absolutely divine) & apricot & basil which I haven’t used yet. The shower gels are 100% biodegradable, & made with a 100% recycled plastic bottle. They feature no sulphates, parabens, or colorants and they are soap free. If you have issues with fragrances they also come fragrance free.
