About three weeks ago I attended the Miami Children’s Health Foundation Influencer Dinner. Held at Miami River Yacht Club, it was  a nice change of venue from the usual. A great choice by the foundation. Dinner was amazing and so was the message.
Together for the Children is Miami Children’s Health Foundation’s new social media campaign. Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is a world leader in pediatric healthcare. Not to mention South Florida’s only licensed speciality hospital exclusively for children.
During dinner, we had the opportunity to meet the Foundation’s Patient of the Month. Beautiful and well poised, you’d never think she is recovering from an invasive spinal surgery. Alessandra’s (pictured above with her mom) whole life changed in an instant. On track to play tennis professionally, doctors told her she may never play again. A week before our dinner, Alessandra got back on the tennis court once again. The care and therapy she received at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital not only saved her life it was crucial to her recovery. Kindness, serving others and grace go a long way. Thanks to Kelly Saks and the MCHF team for having me.
