Inside the 1 Hotel Beach Club: A Luxe Daycation Experience in Miami

I may not be a 1 Hotel South Beach Beach Club member, but for one day, I got to live like one, and now I get why locals join. I was invited to experience the newly launched Beach Club membership at the 1 Hotel South Beach, and honestly? It felt like slipping into an alternate (better) version of my life. Think: oceanfront cabana, members-only pool, rosé delivered to your lounge chair, and every detail designed with sustainability and serenity in mind.

For Miami locals, a membership to a property like this isn’t just about luxury, it’s about access. The 1 Hotel is consistently ranked among the top hotels in the U.S. (shoutout to its Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2018 nod), and the Beach Club gives you a front-row seat to that lifestyle.

That’s the 1 Hotel’s promise, and they mean it.
One of the biggest downsides to a public beach day is the lack of service. But here? You’re getting priority seating on a 600-foot private beach, and the ability to order food and drinks right from your lounge chair. Exactly as it should be. The menu is fresh, locally sourced, and members get preferred pricing on everything.

I wore a Collectif x Modcloth Akiko Palm Print Jumpsuit; the tropical green print felt made for the 1 Hotel’s earthy, eco-conscious aesthetic. I paired it with my Aerie hat and Tibi Ophelie Fringe Mules. The look was perfectly in sync with the property’s driftwood-meets-desert-vibes decor. It felt effortlessly luxe, just like the day.

We spent most of the day at the members-only rooftop pool, tucked away in a lush cabana with a view of the ocean. My phone died at one point (classic), but even that wasn’t a crisis—they provide chargers, so I plugged in, kicked back, and turned on the cabana’s TV while sipping rosé.

There’s a lot more to the Beach Club than what we experienced, like curated member events, an impressive gym, and wellness perks, but even just one day was enough to feel transported. Every time I visit the 1 Hotel, I leave wishing I didn’t have to.

If you’re in Miami and craving a local luxury escape without booking a room, this is one membership that makes sense.
