I am taking it back to my trip to Puebla, Mexico in May. It was my second time visiting Puebla. Another press trip with Volkswagen! We didn’t visit the Volkswagen plant this time or retire any vehicles. But we got to see more of the city and witness the city’s Cinco de Mayo parade. We stayed at the Banyan Tree Puebla, which is centrally located for parade viewing. I love Banyan Tree properties and this one didn’t disappoint. It has an old-world, yet contemporary feel. The grounds are immaculate, the Talavera pottery is must see, and the rooftop pool is divine.

Volkswagen actually planned an outing for us to drive to and try our hand at this pottery style. It’s one of the popular activities when visiting Puebla. There are fewer than 20 workshops producing authentic Talavera and it’s worth exploring. We drove the Taos and Tiguan’s on this trip. Gravitated more towards the compactness of the Taos. Also with only 3 passengers on our ride (we had a team member with us) we don’t need all the space (seats 7) the Tiguan offers. Who can resist that pretty blue anyway, it’s such a great color.
I may follow up with some other snaps from this trip if I ever get around to sorting my camera roll. There’s so much all the time lol. I’m overwhelmed but doing my best.
