Tealeaves recently invited me to immerse myself in their Palette For Your Palate experience. Tealeaves understands that “the first taste is with the eyes. Pantone co-designed new packaging for Tealeaves iconic Whole Leaf Pyramid Teabag collection. Using the collections as a muse over 30 world-class chefs and mixologists created a dish or drink using Tea + Color+ Mood. #PALETTEFORYOURPALATE blends the borders between culinary and design. An actual “feast for the eyes”.
I packed an overnight bag and headed to the St. Regis Bal Harbour. Upon arrival I was immediately enchanted by the property. Fitting as my Palette For Your Palate entry mood is “Enchanted”. I would be sampling Cocktail No.4, a Lavender Bespoke Cocktail by Milos Vujovic. Made with Tealeaves Organic Earl Grey with Lavender. Pantone Color: 7677C. This is one of my favorite teas in the entire collection, and my favorite color is purple. This couldn’t have come together better. Check out some quotes on the cocktail and a video on how it’s made below.
“A fascinating dichotomy of meditative blue and explosive red, this intriguing purple hue is magical and non-conforming. ”- Laurie Pressman VP, Pantone Color Institute
“The floral taste from Organic Earl Grey with Lavender leads the mind into an enchanted forest, full of wild flowers. The cocktail itself almost looks like a purple, otherworldly pond.” – Milos Vujovic
“The Lavender Bespoke cocktail is based on a lavender-infused gin, with Disaronno, ginger and almonds Then, of course, an ounce of Organic Earl Grey with Lavender and a touch of acai to color it purple.” – Milos Vujovic
I spent the afternoon frolicking on the St. Regis beach, taking outfit photos. The early evening viewing the traditional champagne sabering and sipping Palette For Your Palate cocktails. Followed by the most extraordinary tasting dinner. Major thanks to Tealeaves, Pantone and the St. Regis for having us and for all the tea. What a score!
