Outside of events and the evening (no big bags in the club ever), you can find me toting around some kind of carry-all bag. I like something chic, that carries my laptop, essentials, etc for work outside the office. Lucky for us the oversized tote is making a comeback. From Chanel to Balenciaga oversized totes have appeared on the runway in a variety of forms. For now it seems, bigger is definitely better.
When Dagne Dover reached out to me about their Ava Bucket bag, I replied immediately. I’d agree with their marketing copy that the Ava Bucket bag is “designed with your life in mind”. and that “No matter what you’ve got on your bucket list, keep it together with Ava.” I’ve been using this bag since February and it’s such a staple in my daily life. I have the oxblood leather colorway. It’s such a versatile color and is a bit more interesting than plain black. My second favorite is the blush dusk leather.
This is my second Dagne Dover bag and you can’t beat the quality for the price point. I’ve dragged my bucket bag all over and it still looks great. I could fit my life in that bag. I love how the center console helps with my organization so when it’s time to look for a pen, hey there pen slot. No dumping your life out or rummaging Mary Poppins style.
The key to this Fall 2017 trend is always attitude. Dangle that bad boy by your side like it’s not oversized, and don’t fill it to the brim. I know it works for the Olsen’s but bag lady chic is not for everyone.
