I love that song Crusin’ by Smokey Robinson but also the Gwyneth Paltrow & Huey Lewis cover is pretty good too. Had to give a little homage to it with the blog title. I went on a cruise courtesy of MSC Cruises at the end of last year. I got to take my friend Syra with me who I met on another press trip years ago. She was a guest at the hotel I stayed at and we’ve kept in touch over the years. It was a lovely little getaway that I still need to share so much of the content I took. So I’m starting with these images taken by one of the ship’s photographers before dinner.

I wouldn’t say that I’m big into cruises but when you get a good one, it can be a great escape. You feel like you’re in another world on a cruise. You’ll find yourself forgetting that you’re cruising through the middle of the ocean.
Our ship was the MSC Seashore, which cruises to the Bahamas & Caribbean. Our sailing was a celebration type of sailing and not the usual 5+ day voyage. We definitely felt like we should have done the longer option nearing the end of the trip. Unfortunately, it was a busy season for me, I couldn’t spare the days at sea. Our sailing focused on visiting Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, a private island owned by MSC.
At the award-winning escape, you can enjoy 2 miles of white sand beaches. Besides posting up in a beachside cabana, there are also shops, eats, and excursions. Although there’s a spa on the ship you can also treat yourself to a spa experience on the island as well. As always more to come, and I’ve linked my look in the widget below.
