Recently drove a 2016 Mazda CX-5 for a week. Made a few treks between Dade and Broward county. Usually not fun but it was a very pleasant driving experience and easy on the gas. Billed as the overachiever of it’s class, I fell in love with driving this baby.

In my “outfit of the day” shots above I’m not hauling much but on one of my journeys north I put the CX-5 to the test. There’s so much room in this car, if that’s what you need in your life this is it. Love a car that’s quite large on the inside without feeling large while driving it. This is a sleek little thang for sure that just happens to seat five comfortably. The car feels luxurious and sophisticated especially with the thoughtful trims and accents, safety features plus the dash connectivity system.
For a casual day trip to Wynwood with my boy I threw on a pair of jeans and a tank and called it a day. Don’t even remember why we were going…any reason to drive the Mazda CX-5 I guess. The denim is from Missguided and features some pretty heavy distressing. Since we planned on walking Wynwood I opted for Nike’s. Heels definitely would have looked better and not made me look so short though. Shoulda thrown a pair in the trunk as a backup. Ended up getting asked to do a cameo in a friends music video and felt frumptastic the whole time. One of those days where you feel not so cute and no one can convince you otherwise.
My boyfriend gave me an old ammo can he found in his family’s storage unit and I decided it’d make a pretty great purse. My French Connection tank could definitely have used a steaming but I knew I was going to pair it with a jacket. I am so obsessed with that Diesel leather jacket I received as part of a instagram collaboration. Can’t stop reaching for it. What’s your go-to piece right now?
