I’m “tired, but we go all nightâ€, Kelela voice. I’ve been go go go since the year started. I got on my laptop the other day and found all these photos I’d taken in Los Angeles. To be honest I had completely forgotten about them. Hard to believe since I already have a ton of stuff in my Dropbox I’m still working on posting. Still working on getting it together. Every day I’ve been home I’ve been making good progress on this.
I’d wanted to visit the The Los Angeles County Museum of Art for a while now. Everyone and their mother has pictures here, I might as well too right.  I do wonder if other people actually go inside. Two exhibits in particular I’m glad to have pressed into my consciousness. James Turrell’s Breathing Light which completely eliminates your depth perception. It’s trippy, it’s cool, you can’t be on your phone, it’s an experience. Larry Sultan’s Here and Now is a collection of photographs from his work from the 70s and on. His documentation style takes a look inside home/family life and is quite eye-opening.
