Strapped Up In Halston

I received this Halston Mini Dress a few weeks ago, in fact weeks before it was available for sale. The arrival of course documented during mail time on Snapchat. You should be following me. Anyway, I’m finally getting a chance to share the images. Between volunteering at church and FedEx equipment delays, it seemed like they’d never publish. It can be so tricky to keep everything that needs accomplishing and pushed out organized. Even more so when you’re working as a team, and you both need to be available and work together. We are all forever a work in progress, I suppose.

Onto this 70s inspired Halston mini dress. You know, the good stuff, the reason you’re here. The box arrived beautifully wrapped already building my excitement. Once opened, my reaction can be best described as “sheer glee”. These sleeves are so unique , I love the way it fits, the suede, the color, and the subtle cut-out neckline. It all comes together to make an extraordinary dress that standouts, but isn’t ostentatious. I can’t thank the Halston team enough for blessing me with this mini dress and the jumper I wore recently.

Finding this little spot in Miami, reminded me a bit of my adventures in Palm Springs. It was completely by accident when I turned down a side street, test driving a Volkswagen. I became sort of obsessed with getting something shot there, as soon as possible. We called this photoset “Faux Springs” in our folders during the editing process. I’d love to go back to Palm Springs, but maybe not in the height of summer. Certainly couldn’t wear this pre-fall ultrasuede mini dress out there at this time. I’m ready to wrap this summer thang up and get back to cooler weather.
