Sometime during the madness that was Art Basel I was contacted by Glamour magazine to meet with a photographer they had down here locally. I was really surprised when they said they read my blog and wanted to know if I was available to shoot. I wasn’t (long story) and then I was (even longer story). I was so happy because I didn’t want to leave town during one of the most interesting times I’ve had here in Miami. Problem though, completely unrelated to Glamour (since all I needed for that was to be able to dress myself and show up) was I didn’t have my camera, so I didn’t really see a point to me going to events and such without my camera.
I was first to arrive at the designated meeting spot so I was first to be shot (so nervous, I totally wish I wasn’t first) and interviewed. The interviewer (Dena) asked about what I do, where I like to shop locally and where I like to go to see cute boys haha. I was at a loss on that last one. I’m new here what do you want from me. Someone needs to fill me in. The other girls weren’t bloggers (I want an army of blogger friends. Where are you guys?!) but they each had unique streetstyle. Oh you’re probably wondering how I took these pictures if I didn’t have a camera right? Well my photographer friend has multiple cameras and let me borrow one of his. One problem: It was Nikon. No clue how to use one of those so he put it on a specific setting for me and then I was on my own.
I would have loved to shoot these girls with a camera that hadn’t been placed in my hand 5 minutes earlier (Simon met me at the shoot) and that I felt comfortable using but beggars can’t be choosers haha. I did what I could, lost a few girls along the way for various reason but mostly because I didn’t like how the photos came out. Anyway enjoy what I salvaged. Curious as to what I wore, I have another post coming soon that kind of shows what I wore though slightly altered because it started warming up. Boo.

Congrats Ria! <3 that's such a cool opportunity. Sometimes I forget my camera at home at times when I need them spontaneously. I try to make it a habit of bringing mine out more often (it's just a point and shoot but I'm a forgetful girl haha).

Awesome! Are the photos out yet? Xx
I never take my camera out as much as a blogger should. My friends don’t blog so it’s kinda hard.
