Garden Variety Meshin’

Autumn is hands down my favorite season…too bad for me it does not exist here in Miami. Seasons don’t really exist…it’s hot and then it’s too hot and we kind of make it work. Sometimes it can make dressing easy, but redundant. I like pieces like this Dorothy Perkins number. It’s a gorgeous little mesh dress with a floral embroidery at the bust. It makes me feel like the seasons are changing but is still lightweight enough for 80° weather.

It also would make a kick ass festival look. I’d opt for a less delicate undergarment though. I couldn’t find my usual slip dress I use for all my mesh situations so I stole one from another dress. That dress happens to be this insane Givenchy dress I picked up at Jeffrey New York a few years ago. It’s more sheer than my slip and quite delicate but it worked out well, the sheer on sheer.

My accessories for this look are some of my favorites at the moment. The Sunday Somewhere x Bollare sunglasses I picked up from a gifting suite during Swim Week. They are killer, the attention to detail speaks to a level of quality I’ve come to expect from Sunday Somewhere. I had to hide them from myself to stop wearing them.

I also received the Kendra Scott earrings during Swim Week too. After first spotting them during a Summer 2017 collection preview I knew I had to have them. They were the most dramatic design of that season and my favorite Kendra Scott piece to date.

Last but not least, my go-to bag of the moment. This Dorothy Perkins Mini Cross Body (Non) Backpack. I love it because it looks like all our favorite mini backpacks of the 90s but isn’t. Legit goes with everything, so sorry it’s sold out in black, but I’ve linked some of the other colors for you guys.
