Croquetas and Champagne is one of the best SOBEWFF events I’ve had the pleasure of attending. One & Only Resorts invited me to partake in this decadent affair. One does not eat just ONE croqueta. These delicious fried morsels are melt-in-your-mouth good.

I know it’s been awhile since the event but I still wanted to share the experience so you know what’s good next year. The luxe Miami Design Distract is a new backdrop for SOBEWFF, though it seems no one minded the change. The celebration hosted by super chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten sold out! An elite group of local chefs battled it out to share their tastiest variations of the croqueta. Add a little flan for dessert and free-flowing Champagne Henriot, I couldn’t complain.
So I mentioned a battle, we were all given poker chips to vote for our favorite croqueta. My boyfriend loves cheese (and is Cuban 😂 ) so he was pretty much in heaven. Imagine crab croquetas with chipotle aioli, manchego croquetas topped with guava and rosemary marmalade…etc. Let’s just say I’m glad I wore something loose. My choice for the night didn’t win but that’s okay, I still had the best time sampling everyone’s takes.
