When I travel to a new city I love to meet up with bloggers in the area. Yes, complete strangers. I’ve never heard of anyone else doing this until Valerie hit me up on Instagram to tell me she was coming to Miami for Ultra. We met up for brunch at The Betsy Hotel on Ocean Drive. I must confess that it had been a rough weekend. I went on Friday night with Yanique who was also in town visiting and didn’t get home until 2 pm the next day. O_O The rest of my Saturday was spent in total zombie mode and I definitely didn’t start feeling human again until AFTER brunch with Valerie. Hence my super simple, I want to be comfortable look for brunch haha.
I went back to Valerie’s hotel the Marenas Beach Resort & Spa and we ate crazy Kit-Kat flavors and cakes in the shape of chickens before going to shoot outfit photos on the beach. I wish I’d gotten to spend more time with her while she was here but my car decided to be a butt and pick this week to need maintaining. I did end up seeing her one more time though before she returned to Hong Kong and we went on an adventure of Shake Shack, a trip to Ultra (my first), and Pub Belly Sushi. Good times.
P.S. Last time I was photographed in this dress, I had braids!

Hahah yeaaaa, Miami is definitely meant for those PM walks back to the house. I remember when I went there for my 21st birthday- I’m borderline surprised I didn’t collapse from exhaustion.
