Love a good sheer dress, when I spotted the Maje Roane Midi Dress in Stockholm while shopping with my mom I had to have it. Bonus, it was on sale. Winner winner, chicken dinner. Some people get intimidated by sheer pieces but they’re the best for layering. So chic, you need to be smart about the undergarments and clothing items you wear underneath. Duh!

The Maje Roane Midi Dress is a lovely belted button down organza dress with a slip dress underlay. When I see a piece like this, it screams 2-for-1 to me. My fave! As you can see with this look, I opted to go without the slip dress underlay and wear the dress as a trench of sorts. I’ve also worn the slip dress with a different outer layer as well. Maje themselves describe this dress as 50s housewife meets 21st-century business woman. Do you think it evokes a bit of nostalgia or are they reaching? P.S. The dress is royalty approved, having been worn by the current Queen of Spain Letizia.
I opted to add a little edge to this feminine style but wearing a black tank dress and snakeskin boots. I tied the belt in the back, to give the dress now worn as a jacket, a bit of shape. You can do the sheer look by throwing it over jeans, wearing it poolside. No matter where or how you decide to sheer, it’ll add dimension and intrigue to your everyday outfit.
You can snag this look at so many different price points. I’m talking from Chanel to Missguided and everything in between. Lucky for you I’ve sifted through the internet to find options from high to low. Collected for your pleasure below, along with some snakeskin print boot options. Dare to sheer and get in on this transparent trend!
