This was an impromptu shoot. Here I was minding my own business when Martha facebook messaged me asking if I had time to shoot some photos for her blog. She’d even come to me! Nobody ever comes to me. I was excited not just for that but because I haven’t shot anyone in long time. My camera is broken though so I had to use hers. It’s still a Canon so really it’s just a matter of figuring out where everything is. Anyway I got dressed and did my makeup in less than 30 minutes because even though she gave me ample time I got caught up in a project and before I knew it was almost 4′ o clock.
I picked this outfit because I’d sort of worn it before so it was something I didn’t have to think about. Do you guys do that? I’m really happy that I finally got this skirt. I picked it up from Nasty Gal maybe two weeks ago. I wish I had waited til Cyber Monday when everything was 35% off. I didn’t plan to shoot at all, but when Martha asked I decided to just go for it since I liked this look so much and looked presentable.
Art Basel is next week and I’m sick. So I’m really trying to not be sick because that just doesn’t align with my plans at all. Bonus below, the first time I wore this skirt…one to run errands and then I changed for an event later on in the evening.

The boots are ankle boots. I would have included the shot with them but the harness on them was falling off and we didn’t notice. See outtake
