I guess it was Wednesday I put on my stylist hat and styled a shoot featuring model Sarah Tyer of Next Models. The world is so small too, I went to a grand opening of a boutique later in the week and ran into her there, also she’s been stopped on the street by one of my favorite bloggers Jazzi (around the 1 minute mark), she was recently shot by a photographer I’ll be working with soon. I mean I’m sure there are more random connections. Sarah has been my favorite model I’ve worked with so far. So fun, easy going and full of energy even at our early call time. She also writes a blog about being a healthy model so you should definitely check it out. Below I took two pics with my iphone of the 1st and 3rd look. I think I was too caught up in the shoot so I don’t have a candid shot of the 2nd look.
In any case, I had fun met nice people and was home in time to mail out orders for www.filthymagic.com. The past weekend I went to the grand opening of the first H&M here in South Florida. It’s unfortunately about an hour away from my house still but I guess it’s better than 4 hours to Orlando for one. I’m so mad at myself for not taking advantage of having one 10 minutes from me. Now there’s all this stuff I’d like to buy and it’s like a journey to go. I arrived at the Palm Beach Gardens mall around 8 am to get in line and to my surprise people were already lined up. I didn’t even know the mall doors opened that early but some of these people had been there since about 4 am. I was about the 70th person in line. The first 250 people get gift cards ranging from $300-$10. The last gift card event H&M had in Orlando I won a $200 gift card so I wanted to try my luck. I ended up with a $50 gift card and my friends didn’t fare any better. They all received $10 gift cards while one received $25. I probably should have been earlier if I wanted a higher value. The worst part is that I was up at 4 am because I had pseudo jetlag/stress from LA and couldn’t sleep but I felt like I didn’t want to be lurking around the mall so I didn’t go. Guess I should have lurked. haha.
The stylish girls you see above were also in line and I thought they looked cute and I happened to have my camera so I took these shots. The first girl is also reading Harry Potter so major props. They were further back behind me. I know for sure the 1st girl would have gotten a gift card but I don’t think the other girls did because of their position in line. I would not have dealt with that store the way that it was on opening day if I didn’t have a gift certificate of some kind to use. It was madness. I stood in line for entirely too long and I’m the type of person that doesn’t like to wait for anything. The gift certificate was only good for that day though and I knew I wouldn’t be back in the Palm Beach area again until November 20th for Lanvin, if I even go.

Puahaha at your comment “guess I should have lurked.” Pfffft, you already got $200 the last time so don’t sweat it :].
I like the first girl’s outfit in the striped skirt :).
Already commented on all those photoshoot shots earlier on twitter :].
Ugh, that reminds me of black friday at h&m…I was in line for hourssssss. If the jackets weren’t 50% off on that day, I wouldn’t have bothered.

You did a great job styling the shoot. I really like the look of the 3rd picture (far right) the dark lips, menswear inspired pants, cold colour pallette makes for an intersting look.
