My mom & little brother
2011 was really good to me. I moved to a new city and it really helped me rekindle my relationship with my blog/domain. I’ve met some amazing people both online and off. I met my little brother (born in Sweden) for the first time and got to go on a vacation with him to Trinidad. I definitely traveled less this year but the traveling I did was really special. I haven’t been back to Trinidad & Tobago since I left when I was 7 years old. It was great seeing things I remembered and learning about things I didn’t remember and of course seeing my family. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I stupidly didn’t bring my camera.

Ran up my phone bill while I was there because I simply cannot stay off instagram. So here’s some of the shots I took. Lots of food, because my grandma’s cooking is so on point.

This year I’ll be going to Sweden, but I’m hoping to make it back to Trinidad soon. Especially to celebrate Carnival. Oh, and I went out on my last night to Woodford Cafe and got to see not only Denise Belfon & Lil Bitts but also Machel Montano. Three famous entertainers in Trinidad, pretty much rounding out my trip as being awesome. I took video if anyone is interested.

seriously, it is hard to stay off instagram! totally feel ya. when i go overseas i just leave my phone at home because i know i will probably go crazy and i never realize how much i use my cell phone! 🙂
