Hair for me is a big deal. If my hair looks like crap, I feel like crap. I can also use my hair to pin point “eras” in my life because I usually change it very often. Recently I’ve been getting Dominican blowouts and wearing it straight or loosely curled. Same thing pretty much day in and day out, yet it requires more care and maintenance to sustain daily than ever before since I’m natural now. This hair struggle essentially mirroring the way I feel about life and the things I’m going through currently. Funny that.
I thought I’d mix things up with a different style and rock the boat a bit. The thing about big hair and curls is that it can be a little messy. It’s okay to be a little out-of-place, it simply works. So I’m a little out of sorts right now…it’s okay. I’ll get through it. This hairstyle brings out my little wild child. It’s fun and carefree, and reminds me to be.
