Matt baited me out of the house to run some errands with him with the promise of frozen yogurt. I usually have to make a conscious effort to dress down so I decided wearing my new sneaker wedges would help me achieve my desired casual look, while still allowing me to feel pretty damn chic.
While my heart lies forever with Menchies (being the first frozen yogurt I ever tried), I’m also quite taken with Yogurtland which recently opened up down the street from me. Now if only they’d implement some type of customer reward system. Oh yeah and bring back blueberries. Two trips with no blueberries what’s up with that?! I can never resist a visit…I mean NEVER.
How many of you are obsessed with froyo? What’s your favorite spot? Mine is definitely Menchies but it’s too far away from my house 🙁

I can’t believe that collar is jewel mint! I love it! The second shot is so cute, and yogurt land should pay you for the advert! The third shot is making me crave it, and I haven’t in awhile. I like yogiberry, but yogurtland was pretty delicious in Cali. You look super cute!

I really like the Jewel Mint collar.
Every state has different froyo places. Loved Menchies in Florida and Arizona, but I haven’t seen it here in Cali, so we just go to Pinkberry and Yogurtland.

Hey! Just found your blog via capture fashion. You both have got me bursting at the seams to move! My BF and I are moving down there, hopefully by the end of there, but we’re visiting again to do a lil’ apartment recon. I saw the you said you live in a large condo in Hollywood. What other places would you recommend that you get a lot of bang for your buck but isn’t unsafe. I’m comfortable with MY hood here in Brooklyn but I figured it’d be smarter for us to play it safe in a new state..

Thanks for commenting and checking me out. You’ll love it here. I do live in Hollywood which is 20-30 min from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale in opposite directions. It’s perfect being right in the middle. I’ve lived here for about 2 years now and I love it. It’s very safe, lots of old people in my complex and area. I went to high school in Coral Springs which is a bit further north but I lived near the school so it was really safe. My cousin lives in a safe neighborhood in Boca as well. Both of those cities are like 45 min to an hour from me though.
As for areas in Miami, I can’t really speak about the safety because I only visit my friends. My good friend lives in Miami Lakes and the neighborhood seems quite nice.
I’ve also lived in NYC (in historical harlem) you’ll be fine down here, trust.

we love froyo here, too! I actually love yogurt land because it was the first one I tried here….but menchies is closer to me at work and at home….so we settle for that! Love the casual look with the collar!
