Last month I went to 944 magazine’s fashion issue party held at the Mondrian South Beach with a special fashion installation by knitwear brand Krelwear. I was in a terrible mood before leaving the house and couldn’t find a thing to wear. I had about 15 minutes before I had to leave or be late…I could have been late. I always forget everyone else is running on Miami time when I attend things, but it usually works out if I’m late everyone else is on time. Party started off slow-ish and since it was my first time at the Mondrian I was kind of lost. I saw my friend Lukas and we started chatting before the lovely Simonett spotted me. Simonett is the creative director at Fringe Direction. I wish we’d gotten a picture together, but I did take her picture for Miami Fashion Blog.
Simonett told me I could head upstairs to take photos backstage etc. I had a lot of fun with the people I met up there. I took a lot of pictures but these are my favorites I guess. I have some others up on my facebook page. I loved the way the hair stylists incorporated Krelwear pieces into the hair.
Here’s a shot of Karelle the designer behind Krelwear working on one of the models. I love these socks and the mustard yellow sweater. I recently pulled both of those pieces for a shoot I did last week with Your Beauty Industry magazine. I can’t wait til the issue comes out so I can share my pictures and work with you guys. I used pieces from Ema Savahl, Filthy Magic, and Krelwear for the shoot and of course some of my own wardorbe.

I had to post this shot of my Leah (girl in the neon with the drink above), because she’s wearing a panty as a top….yes you read that correctly. Also included is a sort of two close accidental shot by Leah but I kind of like it. I have way too much fun with the mirror in the lobby of my building.

xtine@xtine, I’ve noticed they are picture kryptonite though. I can’t seem to get a good photo in them. Even when I was wearing them for the Nylon feature the picture quality wasn’t my best.
