Bacardi came to Miami to kick of Memorial Day Weekend with its #SoundofRum event. They set the bar high as far as shindigs go. I’m so glad I got to partner with Bacardi on this one because I’m Caribbean and it was Caribbean themed so it felt like me. My favorite people, loads of fun, good food, great cocktails (duh!) and major tunes.
Major Lazer put on a crazy good show and I danced my little heart out. I had to have burned off all the calories from all the delicious food that same night. My favorite pop up was Pearl’s which is a trini spot based out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their fry bakes were phenomenal. I had at least 5, full disclosure. Felt like eating my grandma’s saltfish and bake. You can see their bake & shrimp pictured in the gallery below
So glad I wore my hair up with all the dancing I did and especially glad I wore my dancing shoes. The awesome Puma Bleached Basket Platform did well in the sandy environment. RIP to anyone who wore heels that night. Not to mention it paired well with my two piece flamingo print Zara set.
