Wake Me Up

Yesterday I wrote about the Haute Look sample sale for Urban Decay Cosmetics and talked about how I was totally getting in on that. Well I still went to bed at a ridiculous hour, I blame a Mad Men marathon but I set my alarm 3 times. Overkill maybe but I need the time. See I have this bad habit of waking up and not actually getting out of bed which then causes me to fall back to sleep for several hours. Did that happen today? You bet your sweet ass it did. First of all I woke up with my first alarm at 9:30 checked on my phone and saw the sale said starts at 8 am had a wtf hautelook moment and realized it said 8 am PST which means 11 am here. Then I somehow forgot what day it was and I texted my bff like damn the sale is tuesday and she’s like umm that’s today. With that stunning moment I replied back that I’m an idiot and then I went back to sleep with my phone in hand.

I’m not even sure if I woke up at my 10:30 alarm…I know I woke up at some point to a text about zombies from Kelly but I was like wuuuut and fell asleep again without even checking the time. Woke up again (no alarm) and flailed about for my phone and saw that it was 11:20. I panicked because yes a sample sale can totally sell out in 20 minutes. I was gonna shop from the bed since my iPhone is on wireless at home but I was too freaked and I bolted to my laptop in the living room and I’m like squinting 2 feet away from it because I didn’t even grab my glasses. When I felt safe that I would have my items I wanted…at least for 15 minutes. I called Christine to make sure she was up while I was checking out. She’s not a failure like me and knows what day of the week it is so she had already purchased and thought I was up since I texted her.

In conclusion so I don’t run on anymore. I bought:

This little sucker was in someone else’s cart when I tried to buy it so I checked out for the other two items and came back and it was available. XL Primer Potion, a replacement for my VERY used 24-7 pencil, yes please…lipstick, gloss, and mascara from UD I’ve always been too cheap/lazy to try out. Hell yes.

Urban Decay Hall of Fame $29 $14.50

I didn’t buy any of the loose pigment colors even though they were like mineral and gorgeous. I just feel like I have all those colors in my palettes. I did have to close the page quickly so I wouldn’t change my mind. I mean $20 powders for $5 good lord. With my haul yesterday and today’s haul. I really shouldn’t buy anything else, well except Zac Posen for Target but that’s obvious. Before the 25th and after the 25th I shouldn’t buy anything else. Ideeli is having a sale on WESC headphones though and I really want a pair. I’m trying to resist.
