Hiiiiii! This is what zero hours of sleep looks like. I mean I stayed up unbraiding my hair and watching The Bourne Legacy (awful) and Arrow and then it was the next day and it was time to drive to Miami to meet Melanie of Those Things They Said. She’s home for the holidays and we wanted to meetup and shoot. It was short but lots of fun. Needless to say when I came home I crawled right into bed for a few hours.
My mom bought me this top from Nelly.com for my birthday. The burnout material is great and even though it’s long sleeves I’m kept cool in the Miami heat because of the back cut outs. I can’t say no to a good drapey top so I knew I had to have it when I saw it. If you’re in Europe you can pick it up on sale now for about $23. Unfortunately Nelly doesn’t ship to the US and I’m not sure they ever will. I can’t wait to wear the other things she picked up for me.
THE SHORTS! I found this dreamy thing on sale at PLNDR for $40. I swear I’m like a Style Stalker fairy right now. It was the last one left in a size 6 which is larger than my size but I wanted them to be oversized so I consider this meant to be. When they came home and I realized they had pockets I about died. Melanie’s friend Jose asked us “What is with girls and pockets?”
I matched my lipstick (Cover Girl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Divine) to my watch…yup…I went there. No regrets. Purple is my favorite color so it was fun to add a little color to my outfit using the lipstick and the watch. I actually built my look around the watch, the casualness of it made me choose casual pieces and the silver details on the face called for the sunglasses and the boots etc.
