There are so many amazing restaurants and bars in Miami Beach. It’s one of the things I love about living here! I’m very lucky that my job often takes me to some of the coolest spots in town. Makes the hunt for a new haunt pretty easy. Here are a couple new spots I’d recommend.
Novikov
The first US location of this Japanese-Chinese fusion eatery, this one is a splurge but treat yourself, am I right? The menu is extensive and can be a bit overwhelming but the waiters are always ready to guide you. There’s a fresh seafood market set in the center you can choose your daily catch from. They also do a pretty satisifying and affordable pre-fixe lunch as well. If I lived in the area I’d definitely be getting my Novikov fix via their lunch special way too often.

Palmar
This is gonna be my pick for a great spot for lunch. It’s casual with quasi tropical vibes. Palmar found itself on Bon Appetit’s annual list of America’s 50 best new restaurants. The food is so good. I almost didn’t remember to take photos on a media visit I went on everything was crazy good. I managed to stop inhaling food and took a few snaps of the remaining food haha. They have dim sum, noodles, veggies, rice, and yes dessert. It’s everything you’d expect of a Chinese restaurant done so very well. Make sure you get the chicken wings, thank me later.

Aventura Mall’s Food Court Expansion
Forget everything you know about food court’s because this is Miami and you know we do it up here. It’s filled to the brim with options and seemingly more added all the time. You’ve got loads of fast-casual options but also restaurants accenting those options. My faves: Serafina, Shake Shack, Blue Bottle Coffee, Genuine Pizza, Pubbelly Sushi…etc.

Mandrake
Mandrake is a newly opened flash Asian restaurant and lounge in Miami Beach. It’s a very Instagram friendly experience from the moment you walk in the door. Visiting friends often ask for dining recommendations with good food but sort of a lively atmosphere. Well look no further. Order the salad! Trust me on this.
