These shots are from The LINE Hotel in Los Angeles. Commissary is a beautiful greenhouse themed restaurant space. Perfect for LA’s gorgeous weather. I rarely wear my hair up, but when I’m traveling without a protective style I like to mix things up.
Just came back from a round of trips and I’ve learned quite a bit about myself and other people. Both good and bad. Everything isn’t for everybody. I’ve learned how a simple thank you or just showing a little gratefulness can go a long way. I’m a brat, no question about it. I like things a certain way, I usually get my way, I’m a picky eater etc. One thing my mom has instilled is nobody owes you anything. You need to thank people. Even if you’ve said it already, are in a bad mood, are not happy with the way something is going etc. Work with what’s available to you.
I went to a spot in NYC over the weekend. My friend described this place as McDonald’s before he dipped on us and went home. I was like yikes…how is this going to go…well I had such a good night I ended up losing my phone. That part sucked duh but I had such amazing, happy and positive people around me. We laughed, we danced (even those of us that couldn’t haha) and we made some good memories. I had just as much fun at that spot maybe more, as I did at the Soho House. All this to say, it’s about the energy of the people around you. That’s what you vibe off of. Dark clouds will bring you all the way down.

I can appreciate your honesty here…my father always tells me that traveling is the greatest form of education and as I get older this sentiment resonates with me more than ever.
