Cruiser: Suboo Swim 2014

Suboo Swim 2014

Suboo Swim 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim

So I’ll admit swim week coverage is kind of snooze worthy. It’s definitely a privilege and a pleasure to attend the shows, but I’m not sure how well that translates to the blog/social media audience viewing at home. For me, I had ulterior motives for attending the shows this year. I’m planning a tropical trip soon with my gals and I need inspiration. Suboo delivered. Yet another Australian brand staking a claim in my heart.

The amazing folks at GLOSSYBOX invited me to the show. Can’t thank them enough. GLOSSYBOX is the leading luxury beauty subscription service. They deliver over 300,000 boxes in 16 countries around the world each month. I’ve selected a few of my favorite products from my boxes (c/o) below for you to check out. My experience with beauty boxes, you’re usually left with a bunch of stuff you can’t use or don’t want to use. Not my experience with GB. If you’re not a GLOSSYBOX subscriber and you love beauty products you’re definitely missing out. Get on it. You won’t regret it.

The show for me was so “girl gang” / femme fatale and I just LIVE for themes like that. I also felt a very digital vibe, but maybe that’s from watching too much Tron: Uprising. I felt validated in my feelings and thoughts after reading through Suboo’s notes on the show. They completely managed to portray every last one of their themes without me even knowing them. Last year’s show was my first introduction to Suboo and I felt it was the best show because it actually left me excited. This is a brand I think will consistently deliver. The after party was pretty killer too, had so much fun and spent the night chatting and dancing my face off. Anyway check out my 12 favorite looks from the show below, including one modeled by a model I’ve worked with who is awesome Shardea Washington! Always a pleasure to see her killing it.

I must agree with you here. The one pieces are so fantastic–and I’m really into one pieces this year. I think any of these swimsuits would be amazing for a tropical vacay.
