Efficient Living

Tools: simplehuman® 5X Telescoping Sensor Mirror ℅ The Container Store / Tom Ford Violent Blonde Purse Spray ℅ Scent Bird / Moisturizing Moon Mask & Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Mask ℅ Glossier / Lipsticks ℅ Stiks Cosmetics

The Container Store contacted me this week to send me a simplehuman® 5X Telescoping Sensor Mirror. Insert fangirl scream here. First of all I love The Container Store…I can’t go there unsupervised. It’s like a total dream. Secondly I’ve been a huge fan of simplehuman products since I was a kid. They are all about tools for efficient living.

Enter my sick new makeup mirror, one of my favorite additions to my bathroom counter. This baby is motion-activated with a LED light that turns on when you approach. The light is divine for doing your makeup. The 5X mirror pivots and can be raised to the perfect height and angle. My last mirror drove me a little crazy because I always felt like the cord was in the way and ugly no matter how I tried to hide it. This mirror is CORDLESS. BRUH. GAME CHANGER. What a time to be alive. 😂😂😂

If you’re a Miami local, you should definitely hit The Container Store tomorrow for their special Mother’s Day Beauty Event. You can check out this awesome mirror yourself, snag one on super sale and get your makeup and lashes done by a professional makeup artist. Details on the event are below!

Sun-Kissed Siren

Stila Cosmetics invited me and my photographer Ryan Chua backstage during Swim Week for the Clover Canyon Resort 2015 show. It’s always great getting to go backstage and learn about what you’re about to see on the runway, direct from the minds of the artists. The Clover Canyon show stuck out to me because the look is perfect for Florida and actually pretty simple to recreate. Again this look is super easy and requires very minimal product. After doing the video with Monet I found myself easily recreating the look for myself. Since it’s so light you can really build with it and take it from day-to-night if you like. Whether you go day or night, it’s a great way to look really fresh with minimal makeup.

I’m still not at a place where I feel comfortable demonstrating makeup and stuff for an audience. That’s why I decided to team up with my friend Monet. She’s a professional makeup artist so you can definitely trust she knows what she’s talking about. Not sure how into this format you guys would be but it’s fun to experiment. Apologies the audio is so low still working out a few things with filming. Let me know what you think.

Style Coalition Lounge

I work with Style Coalition quite a bit here on the blog, you can check out some of our projects here. It was so great to stop by their office space and put faces to the people (hi Christina!) who I’ve been emailing with for some time now. Lounges are always so appreciated during fashion week. It’s a constant go, go go, so it’s nice to have a spot amidst the madness to pause, recharge, and refresh. Style Coalition teamed up with TotallyHer and Burt’s Bees to host this invite only event. Extra special love for introducing me to this amazing Lip Crayon from Burt’s Bees. Who knew?! The pigment is amazing and layers great with the other color products in their line. The makeup artist showed me a few tricks hehe.
