Some weekends you wanna get dressed up, and head out, but you also wanna relax and be comfortable. Get out of bed or don’t get out of bed, the weekend conundrum. Luckily for me this particular weekend, I teamed up with Brooks Heritage to get me on the run. Brooks Heritage is a casual, lifestyle footwear line that celebrates the history, heritage and spirit of the run.

I’m wearing the City Chariot style. The City Collection pays tribute to the globe’s most iconic city skylines with clean lines, a custom sock liner spotlighting architecture from six different cities around the world. I picked the Chariot style because I love the versatility of the gray and white coloring. It’s cloaked in pig skin suede with a gum outsole and an elevated treatment that enriches the shoe. I can dress this shoe up or dress it down. My favorite kind of sneaker. I’m all for the all-purpose shoe.
Back to weekend plans, or non-plans. 😛 What’s an Upper Eastsider to do when they want to do something but nothing at all? My favorite thing to do in my neighborhood is take a short 5 minute drive to my local creative community. It’s like a neighborhood with amenities. I don’t want to give too much away because it’s still so quaint and quiet and I want to space it out on the blog a bit. Don’t want to tap out my favorite resource. Think restaurants, recreation, retail, showrooms, creative spaces and more. It’s pretty cool and it’s amazing to watch it grow. Literally, the place is built around a biodynamic garden with edible fresh herbs, fruits and veggies. I’m having the best time exploring each store front since my move to this hood. This time I went for nitrogen ice cream and kept it cozy girl chic in my Brooks Heritage City Chariot sneakers.
