Sun-Kissed Siren

Stila Cosmetics invited me and my photographer Ryan Chua backstage during Swim Week for the Clover Canyon Resort 2015 show. It’s always great getting to go backstage and learn about what you’re about to see on the runway, direct from the minds of the artists. The Clover Canyon show stuck out to me because the look is perfect for Florida and actually pretty simple to recreate. Again this look is super easy and requires very minimal product. After doing the video with Monet I found myself easily recreating the look for myself. Since it’s so light you can really build with it and take it from day-to-night if you like. Whether you go day or night, it’s a great way to look really fresh with minimal makeup.

I’m still not at a place where I feel comfortable demonstrating makeup and stuff for an audience. That’s why I decided to team up with my friend Monet. She’s a professional makeup artist so you can definitely trust she knows what she’s talking about. Not sure how into this format you guys would be but it’s fun to experiment. Apologies the audio is so low still working out a few things with filming. Let me know what you think.

Style Coalition Lounge

I work with Style Coalition quite a bit here on the blog, you can check out some of our projects here. It was so great to stop by their office space and put faces to the people (hi Christina!) who I’ve been emailing with for some time now. Lounges are always so appreciated during fashion week. It’s a constant go, go go, so it’s nice to have a spot amidst the madness to pause, recharge, and refresh. Style Coalition teamed up with TotallyHer and Burt’s Bees to host this invite only event. Extra special love for introducing me to this amazing Lip Crayon from Burt’s Bees. Who knew?! The pigment is amazing and layers great with the other color products in their line. The makeup artist showed me a few tricks hehe.

Limited Edition Beauty

I absolutely love Glossyboxes. The packaging is always luxe and the products are top-notch. With that said the Net-A-Porter Glossybox is on another level. It’s a really great way to sample their beauty offerings. The box is $40 and that’s a freckin steal for the products that you’re getting. I’ve been using the Avene Thermal Spring Water spray religiously which I didn’t really expect. I used the Klorane Dry Shampoo in NYC (where I received this box) to keep my hair clean, and to give me a little boost during Fashion Week since I couldn’t exactly wash my hair. The Kevyn Aucoin Eye Shadow Duo is great for a bewitching smoky eye. The light shade also makes a great base for my neutral makeup looks as well. My favorite thing in this box has to be the Ellis Faas mascara, not only is the packaging super sleek and cool the product is excellent. I love the wand and the versatility of building up to a more made up look. I haven’t used the Philip B gel, the RGB cuticle oil or the Natura Bissé SPF yet. I’m excited about trying out a new Natura Bissé product though, as I love their Diamond Life Infusion serum.
