I think this was my last full day in New York before leaving for Florida. My friend and I slept in, allegedly I took a long time to get ready and we missed brunch. ALLEGEDLY. So we ended up at Bareburger in Park Slope which was amazingly delicious. Like pure organic all-natural decadence. I haven’t had a burger since, I don’t know that it will meet the bar that has been set so high now. They make their own lemonade too which you can see me sucking back above.

After “brunch” we walked to the park and took a bunch of pictures there, a little toddler almost ran off with my friends shoes haha, I climbed a forklift thing and took pictures on it in full view of the construction workers it belonged too, almost got ran over by some overzealous cyclists, climbed on a vehicle and took pictures on that, and last but not least never found what we were looking for in the park. I’d had enough since I totally wasn’t dressed for the park and stomping around trails in these heels was getting to be a lot. Lol at not ending up using a single photo from the park.

A few weeks ago I partnered up with CVS and Salma Hayek’s Nuance beauty line to host a beauty party. I was still in New York City at the time so I held the party at my friend’s place. CVS is one of my favorite drugstores so it was great being able to partner up with them. Nuance is only sold at CVS. A few of my friends came over and we got to experience hair products, cosmetics, skin care, body and nail products from Nuance. It was a dreary rainy day so I’m so thankful to everyone who still came out anyway. In the photo above you can see 3 of the four girls (Kaysay, Ashley, Christine) who stayed even after the party. We had to pop out on the roof deck for a photo op since the weather cleared up a bit.

My favorite products were the Color Vibrance Lipstick in Paprika. I have to test out the Lasting Wear Gel Liner a bit more before I make a final verdict. I don’t remember which Mineral Eyeshadow Duo I tried unfortunately but I also liked that as well. I can’t speak on the foundation, I left that to the other girls as I don’t wear foundation. I really want to find the Johoba Dual Phase Body Oil, but my local CVS doesn’t have it and I let one of the guests take it home. Can you believe I had to give everything away?! CVS sent me gift bags for each guest but I also had to giveaway the other stuff as well since I couldn’t take it traveling to Florida. Waste not want not. My friend Danika who attended the party owns a PR company and will be using the products for her own gift bags.

Summer Eats

If you know me, you know I can’t function in the grocery store. It’s like another world and I don’t speak the language and I don’t know what I’m doing ha. The phrase “I’m heading to the grocery store, is there anything you’d like” sets off anxiety. Thing is I love to eat. Like LOVE to eat. I’m just extremely picky about it and I can’t really cook a variety of things and I love to change things up, otherwise I get bored. Do I sound crazy yet?

I get to my door and there’s a cooler like the one you see above filled to the brim with not only delicious food but healthy food. I’ve been getting traditional and paleo meals. This is honestly the healthiest I’ve ever eaten in my life. I’m surprised I haven’t noticed or wanted to add salt to anything. Everything tastes great.

Yesterday they sent over two breakfast options for that day and today. The Blueberry White Chocolate French Toast Bake was divine. The syrup was sugar free and I couldn’t even tell. I’ve never had anything like that. I love how everything is fresh with no preservatives, freeze-dried, or prepackaged food. I also received a cold pressed juice which I’m currently drinking (my homie Alex would be so proud). Four paleo lunch and dinner options and one traditional meal and a wrap. Intense right. I couldn’t be happier, I get a variety of food not to mention new things I’ve never tried like Coconut Crusted Mahi Fingers with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce.

Had to shoot in one of my favorite ares in New York City of course. I met up with my girl Yanique for lunch nearby at The Mermaid Inn which has the “Happiest of Happy Hours”. I received this lattice top from Gypsy Warrior and I can’t wait to wear it with cutoff shorts this summer. I didn’t pack any shorts with me this trip to NYC but it worked well with this skirt I think. I love the cutouts at the midriff and at the shoulders. I have another smokin’ hot dress from Gypsy Warrior to share with you guys. I’ve already worn it out an about in the city.

Can’t get enough of these Wang boots, as with all my other Wang shoes. They’re perfect. Give me more. Give me all the Alexander Wang in fact. Loving that my friends associate me with the brand. Definitely eying a couple new things now that I’m in Florida for a bit. Can’t shop when I’m living in New York need all the moniesss to live. I’ll never understand how people tolerate living in closets for way more than I pay to live in a 2 bedroom condo near the beach. BYE. Even with that I’ll definitely be back in New York sooner than later.

The weather, the weather! Oooh the struggle for constant nice weather in New York. So the first day it got warm, best believe I rocked the only pair of shorts I had packed with me and this open knit sweater Spiegel sent over. With such a beautiful day presented to us, we went to The High Line to shoot these shots. After this day it of course got cold again, but lately it’s been even nicer and more often too.

How do you guys like my new Jagger Edge phone case? So cool right, I get so many compliments on it and it’s so handy for keeping a strong hold of my phone. I first wrote about JE on my blog back in 2011 when I was looking for an iPad case. Crazy!

My first time wearing these ankle breakers went really well. Such a great heel that makes my legs look absolutely killer. I can definitely get away with wearing these out and about in Florida but no way in New York. Definitely need to invest in more flats for New York.
