Brink magazine Beauty Editor Michelle Cameau & Me
Been wanting to post these pictures for a bit now, but they were for a magazine so I had to wait for the magazine to come out. I hate the waiting game since I’m so impatient. My makeup looks so lovely, thanks so much Michelle. You may kind of remember this look from the headshot photos I posted a few weeks ago. I self took those photos though, these are professional.Taken by Garett Frandsen who I wish lived here instead of Orlando/being a wandering photographer. I kinda loved him, and would love to work with him behind the camera instead of in front of it.

I’ve been published in Brink magazine before but as a stylist. So it was my work but never me. I wanna send this to my grandma in Trinidad because I know she’ll be super proud of me. We shot the feature in my condo here in South Florida. Peep my piggy banks behind me from Target. I really love my home, so it’s kinda cool to see it in print. I should of cleaned up the area a bit though, I didn’t know we’d shoot there. Oh and if you’re wondering why I’m barefoot, it’s because I have white carpet and observe the no shoes in my house rule. Like I will kill you.
A shot of me in my office, definitely the messiest room in the house…because I’m messy and this is my space. Oops. Behind me you can see a bit of a clothing rack that houses clothing & samples for www.filthymagic.com as well as items I need/would like to shoot on my blog. If I keep them in my closet, I’ll definitely forget. RIP to that Jewel Mint blue & white seed bracelet. This was the first piece of Jewel Mint I had a problem with. Incredibly disappointed since it was the first time I wore it and then it broke that night.

Is it really?! I think of it more as asian. Growing up I always had wood floors so maybe that’s why it wasn’t a big deal. Carpet everywhere in Florida though and we never had that rule. I know my bf only observes the rule because the carpet is white. I like it thin of all the dirt being trekked in…ugh *shudder*

I have decent skin, but the makeup artist really made me look as though I was glowing. I was like oooohing and aaaahhing at my face for the rest of the night haha.

You’re already ridiculously pretty on the regular and her make-up kicked it up several notches. Your place is so nice that it doesn’t look dirty if that makes any sense, just bright & lovely. Tell me why I read that “kill you” part as “I will cut u” in that Bon qui qui voice lol. You look perfect, just wish they let you wear more outfits.

I’m hoping it will be fun. It’ll be tough getting invites for shows there since there are so many bloggers and people don’t know me outside of Miami. But I’m looking forward to having good food and spending lots of time with my friends who live in NYC and NJ.
