NYC Beauty Party
H&M Hat . I WANT YOU…SO MUCH!! Batwing Tee c/o Saint Noir . Mink Pink Bad Romance Skirt . Guess by Marciano Maeve Boots
A few weeks ago I partnered up with CVS and Salma Hayek’s Nuance beauty line to host a beauty party. I was still in New York City at the time so I held the party at my friend’s place. CVS is one of my favorite drugstores so it was great being able to partner up with them. Nuance is only sold at CVS. A few of my friends came over and we got to experience hair products, cosmetics, skin care, body and nail products from Nuance. It was a dreary rainy day so I’m so thankful to everyone who still came out anyway. In the photo above you can see 3 of the four girls (Kaysay, Ashley, Christine) who stayed even after the party. We had to pop out on the roof deck for a photo op since the weather cleared up a bit.
My favorite products were the Color Vibrance Lipstick in Paprika. I have to test out the Lasting Wear Gel Liner a bit more before I make a final verdict. I don’t remember which Mineral Eyeshadow Duo I tried unfortunately but I also liked that as well. I can’t speak on the foundation, I left that to the other girls as I don’t wear foundation. I really want to find the Johoba Dual Phase Body Oil, but my local CVS doesn’t have it and I let one of the guests take it home. Can you believe I had to give everything away?! CVS sent me gift bags for each guest but I also had to giveaway the other stuff as well since I couldn’t take it traveling to Florida. Waste not want not. My friend Danika who attended the party owns a PR company and will be using the products for her own gift bags.

I’m Living In A Material Wrld
OATW COLLIER DE CHIEN: The Leather Cap . Nicole Richie for Macy’s Impulse Motorcycle Jacket . Somedays Lovin Stolen Soul Sweater . J Brand Beatnik Jeans c/o . Medium Arno Tote c/o Brahmin . Alexander Wang Hanne Boot
I’ve been on a closet clean out kick. I’ve been listing my pieces on Material Wrld and a few other resale sites. The best thing to come of this is finding this pair of Alexander Wang heels on Material Wrld. These were the first pair of Alexander Wangs I’ve ever wanted. Such an amazing find and at an amazing price. I couldn’t be happier. The nice thing about Material Wrld is it is very focused on high end fashion.
MaterialWrld did an interview with me right before Fashion Week back in February and I’m also the ring leader of the Fashion Blogger Style Group. You can Shop my closet on Material Wrld and Check out my feature. Since I’m in New York currently, I’ll be attending their launch party so if you come out, say hi!
P.S. This isn’t a sponsored post or anything like that, just a service I genuinely enjoy using

Double Vision

Grant Glasses c/o Benji Frank
MUFE Lipstick Rouge Artist Intense in Moulin Rouge
Eleven Objects Collar
Rain, humidity + my hair…no dice. Thanks a lot Miami for this gloomy day. Anyway, Benji Frank sent over these awesome prescription glasses for me to try a few weeks ago. I’m blind as a bat and wear contacts usually but sometimes you’ll catch me in glasses when wearing contacts becomes too much for my eyes. It’s really important to have a cute pair that you love. I have a leopard print cat eye pair and now these. The simplicity and classic feel of this pair has made it my go to these past few weeks.I’m wearing them right now actually. :p

The Grant is described as being popularized in the 60s by the who’s who. I know a lot of you watch American Horror Story, well it takes place in 1964 and Dr. Oliver Thredson (Leatherface eek) totally wears the same style. I picked out my frames via Benji Frank’s cool Virtual Try On program which was really easy to use. The boy swears that you cannot purchase glasses without first trying them on, OBVIOUSLY he was proven wrong. For people like him though Benji Frank has another cool program called “Try 5 At Home” so all bases are covered. I also urge you to check out their One Pair, One Vision philosophy and business model. Very similar to Tom’s and really sets them apart from other online eyewear options available.

This was a long overdue post, due to my broken camera and waiting on photographers to send me pictures and them not sending them. Lame city. Thanks to Maria over at The Wordy Girl for snapping these photos of me and sending them over the same day. You rock. Fun fact. I called this post “Double Vision” since I shot these photos while wearing my contacts because I was out at another photoshoot.

FRONTROW

It is so hard to pick favorites when you have such an excellent collection like FRONTROW to choose from. Above you’ll see my favorite pieces, there was no way I was keeping the image count below 4-6 like I usually aim for. I’m loving the sporty feel of these basics. I’ve been looking for the perfect leather sweatpant ever since Jayne Min put it on my radar and I think I finally found them. I know you’re thinking sweatpants, really Ria…but they’re luxe and it’s leather and I have to agree with Jayne when she said:
Imagine these pants as regular sweatpants. Leather really makes all the difference.
Talk to me about the perforated red leather both in pant and shirt form. I just wanna run my fingers over those babies. The crop top is combination of all my favorite things right now, white, a high neck and a bare midriff. I love the colored string detail on the pants, it’s a nice feminine touch. All the leather looks so buttery soft. This is sorta my ideal future wardrobe right here. High end basics that I can mix and match in unique ways and with very little effort. I could dress these pieces up, I could dress them down. I’d not only feel so confident and in charge but I’d also be comfortable too which you really can’t beat. So good on you Shateria Moragne-el, you know just what’s up. I love the blurb below from the BIO page of the website so much, if you know me in real life you know that’s how I roll.
Front Row couture represents unmatched style and freedom – inspiring its consumers to be seen on the scene and never settle for anything less than the Front Row.

Showroom Dreams: Ainsley
I know most of you are not even thinking of Spring clothing but living in Florida sort of allows me to entertain thoughts of Spring clothes in November. I know most of California and Australia definitely feel me too. During NYFW I had the opportunity to visit the Ainsley/Qi showrooms. If you’re mindset is more Fall, cozy knits and pullovers Qi totally has you covered. Unfortunately I’m no good at photographing knits in any kind of appealing manner so do check out the website for their current collection and stay tuned for Spring. The print on that collared tunic (that I sorta want to wear as a dress) captivates me in a “I must possess this” kind of way.
Below you can peep the behind the scenes video of Qi Spring 2013.
