Get Your Shop On: Nasty Gal Edition
Nasty Gal is having a major sale right now, but I mean who isn’t? I’ve been scouring all the sales from high end to low end looking for gems. I’ve found a few things that I’m hoping will be making their way into my closet sooner rather than later. Nasty gal is super affordable and super trendy and an easy place to find impulsive fun looks for your wardrobe. I went through all 13 pages and above you can find my favorite picks. Get in while you still can, nothing like the regret of missing a low bargain.

Flea Market Finds in Pompano Beach

Urban Outfitters hat & tee
Seiko watch
Miu Miu sunnies
That gleeful look on my face can only be the result of beauty loot! Hidden gem Festival Flea in Pompano Beach, Florida proved to be quite fruitful for me and fellow miami blogger Erika. We hit the flea market bright and early (hence my fresh face look wah). I ended up only buying makeup (surprise) and a spray depilatory from Sallly Hansen that is my new bff. Never heard of it before but it was cheap and now I wish I’d bought multiple bottles. Here are some other things I liked.
So I don’t know what kind of phone that 2nd case if for but I know it’s cute as heck and has the Ai Otsuka LOVE (??) bunny on it. I saw two stands that had some seriously good smart phone cases. I’m talking the most bling of the bling and Japanese style cases. I went a little snap happy but I won’t upload all the pics I took haha. The two above are my absolute faves. Sidenote: I’m thinking of picking up Japanese again butttt it’s really hard in South Florida, in Orlando I had fluent friends and native speakers so it was easy to keep the language in my daily life.
Anyway back to the shopping, I found a designer sunglasses booth!! They had Dior, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs. Above you can see a pair from Dior and Marc Jacobs that I loved so so much. Both less than $200 by the way, one was $130 but I can’t remember which. Oops.
These flasks are so cute for gifts. They’re about $20 which is regular price for a flask but you can haggle at the flea market and probably get a sweet deal. I love these classic style prints with hilarious quips. They had postcards and cards too.
If you’re up for a little challenge, Festival Flea has organized a Summer Scavenger Hunt. All you have to do is find and take a photo of all 4 items pictured above show the staff at the info booth and you’ll receive $20 Festivalvalue dollars. I mean that’s the flask right there haha. There is also a grand prize of a $100 shopping spree which you’ll be automatically entered into with your participation in this week’s hunt.
P.S. I didn’t showcase everything because Festival Flea Market Mall is just that. It’s really big. They also have furniture (I’ve got an eye on a piece for my bathroom), a farmers market, a pet shop, toys and more. It’s kinda crazy.
This is a sponsored post, opinions are my own.

A Love Affair

Free People Angel Mohair Sweater Dress (black & white)
H&M leopard print leggings (similar)
I’m not quite sure when it happened but suddenly I’m obsessed with Free People, a brand I in the past acknowledged as a good brand but never really delved into myself. Now I want everything. I’m constantly on their website, flipping through their catalogs even if it’s just for inspiration. Could it be that the micro tap shorts were my gateway drug? I’m not a big, buy it in multiple colors type person because I get distracted by other pretty things to buy but I have these suckers in both black & white. I’ve even been emailed from a reader to ask if I’d be willing to SELL my black pair. I declined of course. Writing this post and getting the links I realize they’ve FINALLY restocked the short in black…and a new color Pink Sand…I must have it.
So I took these pictures really quickly one day to enter a Free People twitter contest (that I didn’t win >_<) on sweater style. I had just snagged this sweater off HauteLook for $45 (retails $98/on sale for $68.60). I was a little put off when it arrived by it’s “oversizedness” but when I actually put it on over my tank/leggings to take this picture I was in love. I didn’t want to take it off. It’s soft, it hangs like a dream, and I can tie it (like pictured). Anything I can contort and reshape is a winner for me. Definitely recommend. Now that it’s on sale in black and white on ShopBop…do I dare buy it in multiple colors.
If you’re curious about which picture I submitted for the contest. It’s the second one. Sorry all these pictures kinda look the same. I didn’t mean to use them in a blog post, but I like them a lot and I didn’t want to waste it them so.
P.S. – Don’t forget to enter my Lancôme giveaway!

Fashion Week Streetstyle Feature: Essence.com
Everyone seemed to really like this outfit, even though it was a last minute casual…I don’t know what to wear and I’m through caring pick. What I originally wanted to wear didn’t work out and the hot weather just wasn’t working for me even though I should be used to it since I live in Florida. I’ve only seen my picture on blogs in this outfit haha. Guess my other outfits were unloved.

Jewel Mint
Pretty sure I stole this corset from my mom back in the day but I could be wrong. You can’t see because my backpack is in the way but it does actually have pretty blue ribbon to pull and make the top tighter/looser. If you love jewelry by the way you should sign up for Jewel Mint and use code summer774 to get 50% off your first order. It’s a jewelry service that gives you a personalized selection of pieces every month and you can choose to buy or skip the month (no charge) if nothing suits your tastes. I’ve got a decent JM collection going and I can’t wait to see what my October selection brings. The generous discount is brought you courtesy of the Miami MBA team.

I Had A Dream I Could Buy My Way To Heaven
I have terrible self control. I slapped this photo together early last week (August 8th to be exact), a sorta quickie wishlist of things I’m currently wanting to buy that seem to go together. Also tacked on a random drawing because I’m obsessed with braids (probably because I can’t do them w/my current hair) and the lashes on this girl kill me and tie in with the Shu Uemura ones in my collage. But mostly she’s just there because I’m random.
In any case I didn’t expect to be picking up any of these items any time soon but sale emails are wicked things. Promises of free shipping from companies that usually don’t do any kind of sales/deals always sucker me in. I haven’t picked up the shoes however though they did go on sale. I’ve bought so much recently, starting to feel a little guilty about it now. After all, I can’t exactly be shopping though with NYFW right around the corner…I need to save my funds. I will be keeping an eye on these perfect wedges though.
1. Shu Uemura False Eyelashes Luxe Black $23 (bought these instead)
2. Free People Micro Tap Pant $48 (already have these in black)
3. Rachel Roy Shiori $139 $99
P.S. – When shopping online make sure you check out via Ebates so you can get cashback. I forgot to do it on my Shu purchase and I’m kicking myself. The cashback would have been less than $1 but it adds up.
