California Dreamin’

I’m finally getting around to posting the editorial I did for Your Beauty Industry magazine back in April and the magazine came out in August. I love styling for magazines but I hate the wait for images.

I pulled clothing from KrelWear, Filthy Magic, Ema Savahl and my own closet of course. Jewelry was all provided by Charles Albert who I’ve worked with several times. Their pieces always put the perfect finishing touches on an outfit. McKenna wanted the Ema Savahl dress she wore in the 2nd row of images (middle shot), I think she almost had her mom convinced to purchase it for her for prom.

I took some behind the scenes photos in the early stages of the shoot before I started running around like a mad woman. I wish I’d gotten shots of all of the outfits. I just have skeleton photos for reference and those aren’t any fun.

I loved working with photographer Elise Donoghue, makeup artist Debra Macki, and hair stylist Johnny Diol. We had a lot of fun shooting. The other shoot I did for YBI isn’t out yet so I’m still looking forward to seeing how those images turned out.

Part of My Life

Modeling is something I spent most of my life wanting to do. Somewhere along the line that changed. Not quite sure when but it works out because I’m not very good at it haha. Recently I posted some behind the scene photos of a shoot I did with Anastasia Garcia. I was the stylist for this shoot but when I arrived, it was announced that the second model had canceled. So Jessie Dee decided to mention that “Hey Ria can model!” Even though I wasn’t prepared I decided to anyway because I thought it might be fun.

I think I look so angry in these haha. Anastasia is getting back to me on some non angry shots. There are of course other shots and other looks but yeah not a huge fan. So this is what you get to see

Don’t draw on the walls

This editorial is so sick! I wanna break out the arts and crafts and get creative. I really wish I could get my hands on those Prada’s. I have a street snap pic to post as well as a possible outfit post but I really don’t know when I’m gonna get the chance to do it.
