Get Your Shop On: Nasty Gal Edition

By Ria  //  Sale, Shoes, Shopping  //  2 Comments

Nasty-Gal-Sale

Nasty Gal is having a major sale right now, but I mean who isn’t? I’ve been scouring all the sales from high end to low end looking for gems. I’ve found a few things that I’m hoping will be making their way into my closet sooner rather than later. Nasty gal is super affordable and super trendy and an easy place to find impulsive fun looks for your wardrobe. I went through all 13 pages and above you can find my favorite picks. Get in while you still can, nothing like the regret of missing a low bargain.

In Some Way, I’m There With You

By Ria  //  Outfit, Shoes  //  41 Comments

I so love a natural lens flare. I think Matt did a great job capturing these photos in this stairwell.

Picture heavy, I’m sorry. I know some of you like to see a lot of pictures for my outfit posts though. I generally don’t like to include more than 3-5 for a post. Hope you all like these as much as I do. I ordered some new kicks from Ideeli and got so excited I had to get dressed and go shoot in them. This was one of our cooler Florida days so I got to wear tights…I don’t wear these as often as I should. Purchased them back in 2010 and they’re still in wonderful condition, unlike the suspender ones I have which definitely have a run.

I Had A Dream I Could Buy My Way To Heaven

By Ria  //  Beauty, Shoes, Shopping  //  11 Comments

I have terrible self control. I slapped this photo together early last week (August 8th to be exact), a sorta quickie wishlist of things I’m currently wanting to buy that seem to go together. Also tacked on a random drawing because I’m obsessed with braids (probably because I can’t do them w/my current hair) and the lashes on this girl kill me and tie in with the Shu Uemura ones in my collage. But mostly she’s just there because I’m random.

In any case I didn’t expect to be picking up any of these items any time soon but sale emails are wicked things. Promises of free shipping from companies that usually don’t do any kind of sales/deals always sucker me in. I haven’t picked up the shoes however though they did go on sale. I’ve bought so much recently, starting to feel a little guilty about it now. After all, I can’t exactly be shopping though with NYFW right around the corner…I need to save my funds. I will be keeping an eye on these perfect wedges though.

1. Shu Uemura False Eyelashes Luxe Black $23 (bought these instead)
2. Free People Micro Tap Pant $48 (already have these in black)
3. Rachel Roy Shiori $139 $99

P.S. – When shopping online make sure you check out via Ebates so you can get cashback. I forgot to do it on my Shu purchase and I’m kicking myself. The cashback would have been less than $1 but it adds up.

Meeting Brian Atwood

By Ria  //  Local, Outfit, Shoes  //  23 Comments

Brian Atwood is so handsome and so personable, it was awesome meeting him as well as his partner in crime/CEO. I shot the lovely Riley Viall in a gorgeous little yellow Lanvin number. You can peep that on the Miami Fashion Blog. It was a really great event, I also met one of my readers which is always fun. In the shot above you can see a new blogger friend Kelly Saks who is also Miss Earth 2010 and Erika who I go out with a lot.

Yummy treats galore all night in the form of cupcakes, hors d’oeuvres, and cocktails by Grey Goose. Brian Atwood shoes are already a visual feast, Saks stepped it up a notch and had a slew of male models dressed all in black walking around with his designs on light up trays.

Just a quick full length shot for you guys of my outfit. I’m really bad at taking photos when I go out because I’m usually behind the camera. I get photographed by other photographers but I don’t always know where the photos end up haha. I’m not much for doing outfit posts just to do an outfit post because when I’m home I’m usually in pj’s. X_X This picture is kinda crap to be honest, because my condo has really gross yellow lighting every where but the kitchen. I didn’t wanna fiddle with the camera though so. I’ll probably post some other shots on my facebook page later.

P.S. – Yes that is a my size Barbie wearing my leopard Spirit Hood. :p

Shoe Crazy with United Nude

I got a chance to visit the United Nude shop I wrote about last week and I ran into a blogger from Switzerland. So cool! Her name is Romina and she took the picture of me above and a few others. I hope you’ll check out her blog, she’s so cute and has great style. Onto the shoes!

Trying on the Abstract from the newest collection

I tried on lots of different shoes that I fell in love with including some from the new collection and a few from their previous collection. Seeing United Nude online is great but seeing the collections in person is quite impressive. Being able to wear these amazing designs is a marvel.

The abstract was surprisingly wearable though at first I was a little wobbly as I didn’t know what to expect when I stood up.

Everyone has been talking about the Haiku on twitter. It’s really stable but still uniquely designed. I’d definitely recommend it as a United Nude must. My personal favorite and the one I definitely wanted to take home was one of the block heel styles. Specifically the open toe pump with the strap. They only had one left in my size but I refrained from purchasing because I’m a responsible adult/good girlfriend haha. Did I mention they’re on sale. Yes! All of last season’s styles are now 60% off. I think I’m going to have to go back and I think if you have a United Nude nearby, you should make it your business to drop by.
